Crypto Network Fees Explained: Who Pays What
Network fees are paid to miners/validators, not the casino. Here is how they work and why they fluctuate.
Fees go to the network, not the operator
When you withdraw Bitcoin, a network fee is paid to the miners who confirm the transaction. This fee is separate from any fee the operator might charge. The operator may pay it on your behalf, pass it through, or charge a flat internal fee — that policy is set by the operator, not the blockchain.
Why fees change
Network fees rise when the blockchain is congested and fall when it is quiet. They are denominated in the cryptocurrency and can vary significantly hour to hour. Choosing a higher fee typically results in faster inclusion; a lower fee can mean waiting.
Withdrawal minimums and dust
Operators set minimum withdrawal amounts. Very small withdrawals can be uneconomical because the network fee consumes a large share. Checking the minimum before withdrawing avoids wasting value to fees.
